Lima, Peru - November 2-8, 2019
Healing the Children Rocky Mountains will return to Lima, Peru for the seventh time November 2-8. With the help of all of Peruvian volunteers and partners who have been finding patients in need, we will screen hundreds of children on Sunday, November 3rd at Dos de Mayo Hospital in Lima.
We will then perform surgeries and treat patients from November, 4-7. We plan on performing over 90 cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries. We will also bring down speech therapists to help children improve speech and swallowing. We will continue to give free eye and hearing exams and then distributing eyeglasses and hearing aids free of charge to patients.
This year we will also be bringing a pediatric ophthalmologist to perform eye surgery on children. We are starting a pediatric dental clinic. Our plan and mission is to help hundreds of patients who desperately need our help and bring smiles to all of these children and families.
